Today I experienced my first Masonic Memorial for a someone who I knew and served in lodge with Bro John Wesley Kinnier. It was amazing to see 63 masons turnout including the MWGM, DGM and 3 MWPGM'S. John would have been very happy to see the brotherhood. I had to choke back tears several time

Worshipful Master

Wow, what can I say, I am extremely honored and proud to have installed as Worshipful Master of Washington Lodge #3 tonight. I was very moved that MWPGM Biggs was able to install me given the very recent passing of his wife Pat. I am very glad that he was able to share fellowship with us tonight. The support and brotherly love was at times very overwhelming and I will not fir get tonight any time soon.

The Night Before

Tomorrow is sure to be one of the most significant of my life and my Masonic career.
Tomorrow night I will be installed as Worshipful Master of my mother lodge Washington Lodge #3, Maryland's oldest masonic lodge. I will be the 242nd Master of my lodge and tonight I am overwhelmed with emotion.
I am extremely proud of my accomplishments and my brothers faith in my ability. I am also terrified that I will not be able to strengthen and grow our lodge and be an effective Master.
I am saddened by the recent loss of my brother and friend John Wesley Kinnier and by the looming passing of my friend and MWPGM's Jack Biggs wife Pat. it is difficult to see your friends suffer and feel powerless to help them.
Bro Kinniers Masonic Memorial is tomorrow afternoon and surely will be on my mind as I take my obligation as Worshipful Master.
I am extremely grateful for my wifes support and understanding, she is truly one in a million.
